Family Ministry Card Party

Imagine what could happen if children, youth, parents, and families filled an entire table with cards—each one written, prayed over, stamped, and ready to encourage someone.

📨One card could brighten a teacher’s day.
📨One card could remind a friend they aren’t alone.
📨One card could encourage someone in our church family.
📨One invitation could be the beginning of a new connection.

As part of Pray & Go, we want to practice turning prayer into action. On Sunday September 27th beginning at 8:45AM, families will gather to write letters, cards, or invitations during the connect hour. Everyone is welcome to come by and spend some time writing a letter of encouragement to someone. Before you write, pray for the person who will receive your card. Ask God to encourage them, meet their needs, give them strength, and help them know His love.

Then write something personal and encouraging. You might:

• Thank someone for the way they have impacted your life.
• Encourage a teacher or friend who may be having a difficult season.
• Let a family member know you are praying for them.
• Encourage a church member who faithfully serves.
• Share a favorite Bible verse.
• Simply remind someone that they are loved and appreciated.

And then—send it! 📨

We’ll provide the cards, envelopes, stamps, and pens. All you need to bring is your willingness to pray, write, and encourage. After you have written your card, drop it in a basket either in the fellowship hall or in the sanctuary and we will get it mailed. Cards will be available starting September 20th if you would like to take one home to write and bring it back on Sunday, September 27th.

Everyone is welcome, but families are invited to stay for a combined Connect Time of quiet reflection, family prayer & discussion, time to write letters, cards, invitations. Crafts will be set up as well for the youngest ones. Donuts & coffee will be provided during this hour. 

So grab a pen, think of someone who needs encouragement, and Pray & Go!
