Worshiping Together in Safety

Worshipping Together in Safety

At Rosenberg First, we want every person who walks through our doors to feel welcome, cared for, and safe. As part of our ongoing commitment to the safety of our congregation, children, and ministry workers, we are implementing a new security protocol during worship.

Beginning at the start of worship each Sunday, several frequently used doors will be locked:

  • Entrance 2 – Prayer Garden
  • Entrance 4 – Choir Entrance
  • Entrance 5 – Fellowship Hall

We know these entrances are familiar and convenient, so we want to make sure everyone knows what to expect. If you leave the Sanctuary during worship to use the restrooms or access another area of the building, an usher will be stationed at Entrance 2 (Prayer Garden) to provide access.

These simple changes are designed to help us maintain a secure worship environment—particularly for the children, volunteers, and workers in our nursery—while also helping protect everyone gathered for worship.

Our goal is not to create barriers, but to create a place where we can worship together with greater peace of mind, knowing that we are taking responsible steps to care for one another.

The Trustees are also developing additional safety and security measures for our campus. We will share those plans with the congregation as they are finalized and ready to implement.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we make these changes. Creating a safe place to worship is one of the ways we love and care for one another.
